In the last week, this tiny (or not so tiny) boy has decided that sitting and crawling is boring. I mean, being able to move is great because he can get all the things he's not supposed to have but there's got to be more, right? So after watching his friend Andrea at "school", Elijah has figured out how to pull himself up to standing. That's right, my not-quite- 7 month old is standing up. Seriously, Baby, you could have waited longer, we would have been okay with that. We are just getting used to picking stuff off the floor that we don't want you to get. Now you have access to the coffee table, chairs, shelves, your favorite foot rests and other things I have not even thought of yet. Where are we supposed to put things? I am guessing the only truly secure place is on top of the fridge, because even I can't reach that. And that is the true definition of baby-proofing.
