Elijah has been trying to say "pumpkin" since we got one a couple weeks ago. It kind of sounds like "pupl;kj". But there were lots of holiday activities this weekend. Friday they did a little Halloween party at daycare where Elijah refused to wear his costume. So Saturday, Micah tried to wear it and then Elijah put it on. We went to the library where they were having a little celebration with Halloween crafts.
Then we went to the Obama rally in the neighborhood. After an hour or so of bands, we decided to head home because little monkeys do not like to wait for dinner. Good thing we did, we heard Obama didn't speak until close to 7pm (it started at 4:30).
Sunday morning, Elijah and Mama rode the bus downtown where there was a Chicagoween party. At first it seemed pretty lame but then there was a cirucs act. Acrobats, jugglers, hula hoops, jump rope and music. Needless to say Elijah thought it was pretty cool. He alternated between having me hold him so he could see and then wanting to get down so he could dance, and then wanting me to pick him up because he couldn't see, etc. Below is him enjoying "Thriller".
Sunday night we went trick-or-treating with some other little kids and Elijah enjoyed pointing out all the "pupalsfd" at each house. He also loved putting the candy in his bag. Luckily, he didn't really know what it was until later. He also got some apple cider which he promptly inhaled and then had a dinner of mostly cheese and candy.
