Elijah has never had the slightest interest in pacifiers (binkis, nuknuks, etc.). Some babies take them, some babies don't. We have a couple and when he finds them, he mostly chews on the handle for a little while before moving on to play with something more interesting. When I drop him off at "school", I usually put him down to play with something, put away his food, diapers, etc. and then go back to say good bye to him. A couple of weeks ago, when I went to say good bye, he had a binki in his mouth. I pulled it out because clearly it wasn't his since I don't think he even has a binki at "school". I put it on the counter for sterlization, said good bye and was on my way. Earlier this week, I went to pick him up and when I got there he was in the process of taking a binki out of one of his classmates' mouths and putting it in his mouth.
The teacher is like, "yeah, he does this all the time. He finds them on the floor or other kids' mouths and tests them out."
I was like, "Does he suck on them?"
"Yeah, for a little bit, then he takes them out of his mouth, looks at them and moves on to something else"
I can just imagine the little stinker, crawling up to sleeping babies, stealing their pacifiers and testing them out. I guess he is curious as to why all the other babies have them in their mouths and trying to figure out what is the big deal.
